10 Apr 08 - 11:18 PM (#2312633) Subject: BS: Rescue Santas. Thank you so much From: Joybell I just got the most wonderful parcel. The note told me it was from several Substitute Santas. Thank you so very much. With Winter coming on I can't wait to wear my lovely hand-made shawl -- my favourite colour and all -- and so soft and beautiful. I've already eaten half of the peanut butter cups -- yummy. The book of postcards from Maine are great too. I love that sort of present. Also the badge from Colorado (?) True-Love tells me that's where it comes from. The post-office lady is quite excited too -- So many trips I've made to her thinking my present had come -- when it hadn't. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. My wonderful Rescue Santas. Love and Peace with and from Joy |

11 Apr 08 - 03:38 PM (#2313208) Subject: RE: BS: Rescue Santas. Thank you so much From: Stilly River Sage It's nice to know there are people who can step into the breach when it occurs. This year it was all I could do to get one set of Secret Santa stuff out (and that recipient apparently hasn't made the connection yet. Liz, are you going to post a who's who list?) There are some not-so-secret santas doing other good works through the year. If Mudcat ever becomes something more than a computer in Max's basement it would be nice to see an organized support program for various musical causes. SRS |

It's quite true, though, that this would have been my second year in 5 without a present. Just polished off the last of the chocolates. Wore my lovely shawl last night when it got coolish, looked over the postcards again. What a wonderful place this is. Cheers, Joy |
