Anyone who choses the name quokka must be an excellent person. welcome, quokka! |

15 Apr 08 - 01:26 AM (#2315860) Subject: RE: New Ozcatter - quokka From: Bob Bolton G'day quokka, Patricia and I finally got over from Sydney to the western side - last October to visit Pat's neice Tracey and her family. We went over on the ferry to Rottnest Island and just about had to fight off the tame quokkas intent on sharing our meal! It was not all that long after we came back that there was a newspaper story of a football side (having one of these "team-bonding" exercises, so popular today ...) having spent some time tossing the harmless quokkas around as if they were footballs! Lots of cover-ups ... and denials from the footie boofheads ... and eyewitness accounts from tourists. It's a pity the little blighters don't bite ... these louts could do with a dose of quokka shokka! Reagrds, Bob |
