Here are samples of people in one country joining voices to sing the national anthem of another: Australians singing Lebanon's, France singing the U.S.A.'s, which just melted me to a damn puddle -- the Japanese singing Turkey's -- an awesome breathtaking performance --and Kenyans singing India's. I was surprised last week, however, to learn that some of the major organizers for peace, here, were unaware of it. I find myself pondering what it could be like to have folks from all over the globe thinking at the same time, about possibilities for peace and brotherhood for our world. Imagine! KT |
