Popular images of Cheshire nowadays are all new money, footballers wives and converted farmhouses. Gwyneth was the MP for Crewe for years, representing the solid Cheshire of railways, and industry. Scourge of the loony left and the rocket salad branch of New Labour, she was a ruthless arguer.Splendid woman. |
