21 Apr 08 - 04:05 PM (#2321837) Subject: Mudcat (Max) is Moving -PossibleDowntime From: Max Hello all. First let me say sorry for not being around so much lately, but life gets in my way sometimes. I truly miss you all and look forward to spending more time with you soon. I am moving to another town nearby starting next week. April 29 - May 1st is when it's going down physically. As many of you know, the Mudcat runs out of computers in my basement. So there may be some downtime around then. Trust that I am making every possible effort to prevent any downtime at all, and those of you who know how incredible smart I am know that if anyone can do it it's me. However there are other very large nearly monopolistic companies that I must also work with in this matter. So while I am feeling confident about my job, theirs is completely outside of my control. The good news is that we're going to have almost 10 times more bandwidth, the bad news is it will cost an extra $40 per month, which mathematically seems like a good deal. And, for anyone who remembers, makes it technically possible to broadcast mudcat radio again. So that's the news for now, wish me luck. |
