Lyr Req: You Believed In Me (K Bonoff, W Waldman)

Subject: music: Who's song is this?
From: the lemonade lady

i remember waking on a summer night,
and i heard you asking if i was alright,
i didn't know,
i just couldn't see.

I dreamed about a mountain that I had to climb
i didn't know the reason but i just had to try
even tho, oh it seemed so steep

there were many times that i was sure that I was wrong....etc

Woman singer, with a guy harmonising. I recorded it into my phone from someone's elses pc, I think we were watching a youtube of this artist. It may have been Bonnie Raitt.

Thanks

Sal

I've tried searching google with the top line, and i've tried Shazam on my mobile but nothing's coming up. Trouble is I have a recording of a live performance.

come on someone must know it. Is it bonnie raitt or mary chapin maybe?

Karla Bonoff - You Believed in Me

YOU BELIEVED IN ME
Written by Karla Bonoff, Wendy Waldman
Published 1996 Longitude Music Co/
Spirit Line Music/Seagrape Music BMI

I remember waking on a summer night
And I heard you asking if I was alright
I didn't know
But I just couldn't sleep

I dreamed about a mountain that I had to climb
I didn't know the reason but I just had to try
Even though
Oh it seemed so steep

There were many times when I was sure that I would fall
Sure I wouldn't make it at all
But there was always one that always knew what I could be
Oh you, you believed in me

Maybe it was the way you could look into my eyes
And see inside my heart and know the way I cried
When the road was rough
You were always there to hold me up

And for all the times when I was sure that I would fall
Sure that I wouldn't make it at all
There was always one who knew what I could be
Oh you, you believed in me

You were the one who always told me I had wings
Somehow you knew I could fly

There were many times that I was sure that I'd fall
Sure I wouldn't make it at all
But there was always one that knew what I could be
Oh you, you believed in me
Oh you, you believed in me
Oh you, you believed in me

"You Believed in Me" as performed by the "Dirt Band and Karla Bonoff"
appeared on a special CD celebrating the spirit of the 1996 Olympic games.
It was also performed live by Bryndle in 1996.

You are a genius, thank you so much.

It's a great song, and I am looking forward to doing it.

Cheers
