Hi, Ebbie. (Actually quit that stuff decades ago. Makes me fall in love with Sara Lee.)

The list seems like a normal election in Canada. (The names change but the players are all the same.)

But I truly had no idea that there are so many different political parties in the US. It seems like anyone could start one- even if no one ever hears of it. :)

There are roughly 32 parties federally in Canada. (Rough count.) I haven't heard of most of them.

Ebbie, I think you missed the Immaown Party. It's made of the many of the same folks in the Nimby Party.

What happened to the Know Nothings? That always struck me as the most honest name for a party ever coined.

Trouble is, unless someone famous (or INfamous) gets involved, the media refuse to recognize 'other' parties. And the electoral system is not well designed to accommodate other choices.

Actually, the US really has a one party system. They just quibble amongst themselves about things that don't really matter much.
