30 Apr 08 - 02:21 PM (#2329969) Subject: MudCat MayDay '08 Tavern From: MMario HEy! WHERE's the TAVERN? *slack-jawed amazement* Just look at the place! Brand new hardwood floors, lots of windows, lots of light, granite wet bar, full bathroom!!!!... In addition there's a Hammond Organ, a 19th century pump organ, guitars, banjos, accordians, dobros, flutes, kazoos, drums and a multi-tiered fountain that appears to be flowing with wine. You'd hardly know it was the same place. |

Jeeze Louise, MM, duck behind the bar and grab me some dark foul-smelling brew before someone transforms it all into fockin' Perrier with plastic wrap around the bottles... 30 Apr 08 - 07:59 PM (#2330231) Subject: RE: MudCat MayDay '08 Tavern From: SINSULL Full bathroom? Is Liz stuck again? I'll take a JD on the rocks with a twist. The job is in chaos but more important - Seamus the Dog is staying with me and has a pinched nerve in his neck, By now he has figured out that if he yelps in pain I will run, fuss, massage, while the cats stand by concerned. He has of course checked out the skunk nest - no residents in sight. His meds (Seamus not the skunk) require extra water and extra walks so today I went to work and left the back door ajar. Kitties loved it. Tomorrow, a "sitter" comes to visit so the old boy can pee at intervals. Make it a double and throw in a side of Tequila. Auntie SINS, who worries more about the dog than Kendall. |

Affecting a Texas drawl, she calls for attention: Y'all pull yerselves away from slobbering on the granite counter top a minute and look out this here window: The old tavern is right over there in Max's back yard! And there's the gravel parking lot beside it, complete with room for the Auroch barbecue pit. I don't think he quite expected all of us in his basement. I already took a look in--Bert's card is still over on the old bar, waiting to be used to pay for all of this. And I see a tentacle flapping at the western door--I bet that's your pal Mr. Squid. You have to figure that the outage this morning was Max trying to be polite and figure out how to evict all of these Tavern denizens from his basement. Don't wake the babies when you tiptoe out of the house and back to the old tavern. Besides, there might be a few folks back in the recovery ward who don't even know all of this happened. You have to mix the chocolate with a little vegetable oil which does affect the flavour somewhat, but not so big an effect as the one all that oil has on your digestive tract. Not for nothing is it used as a lubricant! However, it does make for great soft scoop icecream if you freeze the remainder after you've played in the fountain. I may let you borrow it one day... but I'm playing with it at the moment. LTS |
