09 May 08 - 02:49 PM (#2336701) Subject: Harmonica Cases. From: Acorn4 I use Lee Oskar harmonicas and they seem to last a good while, but the cases disintegrate after not too long. Some of the plastic cases I used to have with the Hohner harps that I used have however lasted the course extremely well. Does any one know if there is a source that can provide spare (Hohner) cases or other of the old tyoe strong ones? |

It is a sad day when (after vinegar, WD40, super-glue with plastic-store-bags) it is time to lay a Hohner to rest. I morn the day with disposal into the waste-can (not knowing wether it is brown/blue/green)but some missing notes - no longer have a "work around."
Unfortunately, it appears you are laying your instrument in the grave along with their casket, a holder lasts longer than the instrument and (some of my cardboard cases AND sueade leather containers) are still intact and holding another generation of "suck-blow-holes."

From: GUEST,Jim I found a plastic parts case in Canadian Tire (a hardware... store in Canada)that fits six ten hole harmonicas perfectly and fits in my guitar case as well. Canadian harp players should check it out. It was $3 and change. |
