Cascades of song

The Clare Festival of Traditional Singing took place in Ennistymon on the June bank holiday weekend from 1990 to 2002 and part of each festival was the Grand Concert held in the Teach Ceoil. Folklorist and song collector, Tom Munnelly, who passed away last year, recorded each of these concerts and a CD, entitled 'Cascades of Song', was launched on Saturday May 17th
It includes some of the best singers of traditional song in Ireland and beyond in English and Irish (with 1 song in Bengali).
The CD is available on the Oidreacht an Chláir website and from the Irish Traditional Music Archive in Dublin and Claddagh Records.
It is hoped that the proceeds of the CD will be donated to the restarting of the Festival at the end of the year.
The track listing are as follows:

The launch was on Saturday and all the people concerned were there so, given the fact that people were still singing at four o'clock in the morning it will take time for heads to clear and for people to make their way back home, I guess it will be up on the relevant websites some time this week.
If it is still not available on the web-sites by the week-end let me know.

Mea Culpa (never sure how to spell this, not having many culpas!!) I should have said that The Góilín Club were prominent in the production of this CD and it will certainly appear on their web-site when it is available.
