28 May 08 - 09:49 AM (#2350995) Subject: RE: BS: Am I alone - santa gone awol From: GUEST,Solitary elf OK, so it's nearly June and I should be getting my beauty sleep, ready for the hard slog come November when we all have to get up and start working. I tell you, in elf time this is the middle of the night. HOWEVER. A plaintive cry was heard from a Ms Flute what got left without a pressie last Xmas and so SOMEONE had to get up and do something about it. (A bit like when the dog needs to pee in the wee small hours, that is). So here I am, up and about, but not quite awake yet. Fear not Ms Flute, there will be a gift winging your way but it may take a couple of weeks - could even be Christmas in July, although I hope that you don't have the commensurate weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

28 May 08 - 07:16 PM (#2351507) Subject: RE: BS: Am I alone - santa gone awol From: Sandra in Sydney On this side of the pond we often have Christmas in July celebrations cos the weather is cooler & in some places even snowy! July is also when I pack up & put away all my chrissy decorations. By chrissy decorations I mean the ones that I wrap in tissue & pack into the chrissy-paper covered boxes, lots of my bears are really chrissy decorations, but they live with the other bears all year. Good onya Solitary Elf for sleeping lightly enough to hear the plaintive cry of the Santa-less Mudcatter & not pulling the blankets over your ear. sandra |
