30 May 08 - 09:20 AM (#2352923) Subject: RE: Have you seen my boy? From: Crowdercref The little so and so was last seen heading towards Blisland. He seemed in fine voice. Mysteriously a bus load of his followers were seen heading that way from the Ring o' Bells, St Issey, so he can't be doing too badly! Thanks to all his friends for a storming dress rehearsal. I suspect he'll be on the road for a while. |

Thanks for your concern. Yes I can tell you Jack was at Blisland, but left en route to Leedstown, near Helston. cheer-oh Crowdercref |

31 May 08 - 07:46 AM (#2353647) Subject: RE: Have you seen my boy? From: Crowdercref Having heard about Jack leading the Caradon strikers, I rather suspect he'll be at the front of today's mega-protest blocking the A30, so by the time he (and I) get to Leedstown he could be a tad cream crackered. By the way I now have about six foot of South Crofty mine wall in the back of my Skoda! |

03 Jun 08 - 07:37 AM (#2356050) Subject: RE: Have you seen my boy? - Jack Curnow (30 May) From: Crowdercref By the way Anne Trevenen Jenkin was very moved, especially by the first half of the show, as her father was (inevitably) a tim miner. Also the numbers that have commented on the historical accuracy are really quite impressive. |

08 Jun 08 - 05:04 PM (#2360931) Subject: RE: Have you seen my boy? - Jack Curnow (30 May) From: Crowdercref I understand he's heading towards Liskerret. Where's that? Lyskerret or Lyskerrys are early forms of Liskeard, used in the 13th of 14th century. The prefix lys suggests there may have been a court, hall or palace there in pre Norman times. (Helston used to be Henlyston, old court town) Such place names may give clues to the pre Norman administration of Cornwall. |
