The little so and so was last seen heading towards Blisland. He seemed in fine voice. Mysteriously a bus load of his followers were seen heading that way from the Ring o' Bells, St Issey, so he can't be doing too badly!

Thanks to all his friends for a storming dress rehearsal. I suspect he'll be on the road for a while.

But - is the O'Connor of O'Connors recovered sufficiently? That's been at the forefront of my mind recently ...

Hope it's all going swimmingly, lads and lasses ..

Hobbling a bit, soft pedalling some numbers, but with care reaching the high notes, fiddling like a demon. Thanks for your concern.

Yes I can tell you Jack was at Blisland, but left en route to Leedstown, near Helston.

cheer-oh

Having heard about Jack leading the Caradon strikers, I rather suspect he'll be at the front of today's mega-protest blocking the A30, so by the time he (and I) get to Leedstown he could be a tad cream crackered.

By the way I now have about six foot of South Crofty mine wall in the back of my Skoda!

I just got an email from a nice lady in Warleggan that wanted to give the lad a cup of tea before he was on stage on Friday 6 June.

By the way Anne Trevenen Jenkin was very moved, especially by the first half of the show, as her father was (inevitably) a tim miner. Also the numbers that have commented on the historical accuracy are really quite impressive.

As His mother, might I suggest a nice bit of saffron cake might keep him there till I get there! He's also partial to splits, jam and cream!

I understand that Sandra Freemantle is offering a light tea to Jack and his mates at Golant on Saturday, 30 mins before the normal check-in time.

He enjoys niflin on Sundays, but always had a sweet tooth, just like his father, Go Bless 'im!
Yum! tea at Golant, can't wait, Jack'll be there if there is sweet stuff!
Cheers, Lucy

When I was a lad niflin was a crime. Now it's OK as long as you are over 16.

I have it on good authority that he will be crossing Bodmin Moor from Minions to Warleggan this evening, by the back roads.

He was seen gobbling at Golant on Saturday 7 June. I wonder where he's to next?

I understand he's heading towards Liskerret. Where's that? Lyskerret or Lyskerrys are early forms of Liskeard, used in the 13th of 14th century. The prefix lys suggests there may have been a court, hall or palace there in pre Norman times. (Helston used to be Henlyston, old court town) Such place names may give clues to the pre Norman administration of Cornwall.

I suspect he'll be at Liskerret Community Centre at 7.30 on Friday. If you want to catch him you'd better be there.

Well he was seen at Liskeard - where he had an excellent supper. But the little so and so seems to be heading south - Helston way I suspect.

I suspect the little chap has slipped through our clutches. But this seaside thing may be a clue. Perhaps out of Cornwall ...
