And tell her that if you had it to all over again - that you'd do it all over again. It's an inexpensive way to show your appreciation. For that matter - if your mother is still alive you should send her some flowers on your birthday. You wouldn't be here if it wasn't for her. At least - that's my opinion. As they say - your milage may vary. |

14 Jun 08 - 05:24 PM (#2366034) Subject: RE: BS: Give your wife flowers for Fathers Day From: GUEST,Chief Chaos Oh Hell No! Bad enough that every holiday is supposed to be celebrated with Diamonds for her (according to the jewelers). I've never seen the "gift" for him on any anniversary/Mother's Day/whatever commercial. There's also some nonsense about presenting her with a "birthing gift" when each child is born. The preferred gift? Diamonds! A male chauvenist co-worker once told me that wives are nothing but extremely expensive hookers. Someone seems to be trying to prove it. I love my wife, I really do, and she was thanked good and proper on mother's day, Valentines, and our anniversary. I don't think I'm going to thank her for making me a father today (wish I could tell the stork to take 'em back sometimes! ;) ) |
