30 Jun 08 - 06:50 AM (#2377218) Subject: RE: DMcF gig - Lincoln (UK), 29th June 08 From: Backwoodsman There is, but they only come out for 'The 'A' List'! If you were a star in the 60's and 70's the old hippies may come and listen for nostalgic reasons, or if you have a name beginning with, e.g., 'Vin', 'Jez' or 'Martin' they'll come because they know you're still a star. But hugely talented yet comparatively unknown artistes are pretty much ignored - look at the poor attendances in recent years for Eileen McGann (stunning singer), Marie Little, Bill Caddick et al ad infinitum. That's how it looks to me. |
