Does anyone have Folksinger's Wordbook: Words to Over 1,000 Songs By Irwin Silber, Fred Silber

If you do will you look Page 294 and let me know if there are any details about Bart van der Schelling's connection with the song Viva La Quince Brigada?

Regards, Geoff

The book's long on lyrics but short on explanations and historical data.

Hi Ho Hum Silber! Awa-a-a-ay!......

Thank you Severn that is very helpful. I have for some time been trying to track down the origin of Viva La Quince Brigade and have used other threads to do this. If you are interested they are

Stormking is Pete Seeger's publishing.

Thank you Annie, you are so much better at the blues than I am.

And thank you for your piece of information Stringsinger - That has raised some interesting ideas about the provenance of Viva L Q B. Royalties are definitely being collected for the song in Bart Van Der Schelling's name and I would guess that Pete Seeger was responsible for seeing that the song was registered in Bart's name.
