Anyone apart from me going to the Skagen festival this year?

Looks like we're in for a cracking weekend of music and lovely sunny weather!

See you there, best wishes,

Bente

Yeah.. and I still owe that Martyn for the trick he played on me. If you see him before then, warn him to be afraid.. very afraid!

Awww... come over and get old with me in Sidmouth instead, Chas. See you there, I guess?

Not to be missed are also Jensen & Bugge, and yes, Wongawilli, Borderers, LPSO.

My Danish Grandfather, Ludvig Andersen, emigrated from a place near Hjorring in around 1910. I have always wanted to visit northern Jutland and here's another good excuse. How large is the festival?

Skagen's well worth a visit even outside the festival season, GUEST.

Check the link posted above. The festival has several venues on at the same time, large tent on the harbour, another in the city centre, 2 sports arenas enlisted for evening venues etc. Lots to see and do.

And I'm just about out of here to do exactly that - see and do :-)

Unfortunately on saturday there is the Berlin Irish Summer Festival in Spandau (with Tailteann , Tara Breen
The Donegal Folk and Hugh Murphy).

Wish those organizers could coordinate dates a little better ;0)

Have a good time, Bente!

Best
Ernest

Just back from a cracking weekend, weather was excellent, the music even better.

No, Chas, I did not. A girl from my local dance venue (excellent accordion player) was selected for the 'honour' - and any rumours that I had a hand that shall be strongly denied from now and till kingdom come :o))

I now have some 4-500 photos to download and sort through, but it won't be tonight, I'm about to head for my cot as I'm rather done in.

Best wishes,

Bente

Best wishes,

Bente

Thanks Ernest!

Yes, a cracking festival all round. The highlight for me were Wongawilli of Australia and the Danish duo Jensen & Bugge, but I had a great time all through the weekend.

Best wishes,

Bente

Been once, great Saturday night on the harbour but a long way to go for a Saturday night out. Lovely folks over there but remember they don't DO anything, just watch someone else do it. John
