I used to really enjoy her contribution to the band and hoped she would be back on the circuit at some point. |

03 Jul 08 - 03:11 PM (#2380345) Subject: RE: Belinda O'Hooley From: GUEST,Jenny Chapman Thanks for that, It looks like she's just got one gig in Hebden bridge in July which is a bit far for me to travel to. I'll have to wait until she hopefully comes down south! |
04 Jul 08 - 08:17 AM (#2380886) Subject: RE: Belinda O'Hooley From: GUEST,Noel Leeson I've been following Belinda's post Winterset career with interest as I would love to see her get the recognition she deserves as a great performer & songwriter - for me Blackbird and Whitethorn are my personal highlights off "The Bairns". I'm sure we'll be hearing much more from her in the future, in the meantime, I'm looking forward to her concert in hebden bridge. Anyone else coming along? |

I'm on Belinda's e-mail list, and in the last one she mentioned working on a new solo album, with a range of people singing her songs -- Eliza Carthy among them. So I'm looking forward to that, so say the least. Hebden Bridge is a bit of a hike from East London, so won't be coming along, but have a good 'un. |

I'm on Belinda's emailing list too - looks v interesting this new album with Eliza singing a song on it! She's got such a voice and with Belinda's writing skill, wow... Also looks like she's touring with Jackie Oates in the autumn - fab to hear them together again. JH |

05 Jul 08 - 02:56 PM (#2381851) Subject: RE: Belinda O'Hooley From: Lord Batman's Kitchener was it glaringly obvious? I really wasn't paying that closer attention, having my granddaughter wanting attention, far more important |
05 Jul 08 - 03:11 PM (#2381865) Subject: RE: Belinda O'Hooley From: GUEST,Colin Randall Sorry LBK, couldn't resist it especially since we are on opposing sides in the Rachel Unthank debate (and not because I cannot see Belinda's huge talent) My first missing-the-glaringly-obvious moment for tonight was not spotting the typo in my first posting's spelling of Unthank My second was not realising that on the laptop I am using tonight, I would come up as an anonymous guest |
