31 Jul 08 - 04:19 AM (#2402001) Subject: RE: Lechlade Folk Festival UK July 26 From: My guru always said Well, I have to say that it was a thoroughly enjoyable day. More that 12 hours of excellent performances, mostly by local singers and musicians but several 'non-locals' were also invited to perform *thanks* It truly was a marathon effort by the organisers and they certainly put together a professional smoothly run event of which they should be justly proud. Well done to Jay & Ray and all their Helpers! The Trout is a fabulous venue and Bob & Penny and their hard-working staff are well geared up for this sort of event. They even managed to ensure one of the hottest days of the year which did increase the queues at the bar, which is not surprising at they had Doom Bar on tap along with Cornish *grin* We'll be back at the Trout this weekend for the annual gathering and some of River Folk may be able to join us for a bit of a Sing too. Safe journeys all! Hil |
