Well, she is my pick, although I would be fine with most of the remaining top considerees..I think she as a former insurance fighter, teamed with JE as AG, would take on insurance problems..as governor of a farm state, as probably overly gungho on not having clean coal plants but obviously with an ecological sense...as a Centrum Silver candidate..would be the best..with some doubts because of strong late-term abortion and the overall team's lack of foreign policy agreement and perhaps sense...and she is a boring speaker. Schweizter of Montana definitely for something. John Edwards AG. Genearal Honore for something -- homeland security perhaps. Clinton Health. Richardsona and Biden for something..not Biden for state. Who for energy? I want a windmill engineer. mg

Man, mg. Please elucidate. This run-on sentence ("I think she as a former insurance fighter, teamed with JE as AG, would take on insurance problems..as governor of a farm state, as probably overly gungho on not having clean coal plants but obviously with an ecological sense...as a Centrum Silver candidate..would be the best..with some doubts because of strong late-term abortion and the overall team's lack of foreign policy agreement and perhaps sense...and she is a boring speaker.") doesn't do it for me.

Good thing John Adams is safely dead. We could get him mixed up with a composer too--though not as good a composer as Sibelius, by a long shot. And in Adams' case the spelling is exactly the same.

Re: VP:   Obama needs somebody to beef up the ticket's foreign policy and military credentials. Nunn is a far better choice.

I've read that there are even some women prepared to be resentful if any female other than Hillary is picked for VP.   How's that for off-the-wall? That's a risk Obama can easily avoid--with Nunn and a host of others.

Though it appears Webb has taken his name off the list. Too bad.

That is stupid stupid women holding the rest of women hostage. It is fine to want a candidate and not fine to behave like that. mg

Beware of stupid people in groups.

It is of course deeply unfortunate, but in fact stupid people seem to have the right to vote--at least in the US. Note the results of the elections in 2000 and 2004.

The corollary is also unfortunate but part of the real world--you sometimes, not always, but sometimes, have to take the wishes of stupid people--especially resentful people whose votes you need--into account.

Hopefully, who ever Barack Obama selects as his vice presidential running mate, Americans will show that we have learned something this past 8 years by electing him as Prsident.

Obama said [and I'm paraphrasing] that people could tell how he will govern this country by how he run his campaign.

In my opinion, thus far, Obama and his team have run a smart campaign-and his Republican opponent has not.

Typo correction-

Prsident=President

And by "President", I mean "President of the United States of America."
