Hi

Does anyone have the chords for Johnny Nash's "Tears on my Pillow" please?
(not the Little Anthony song of the same name - this one is a reggae type song)

Thanks,

Louie Roy - more than happy to comply. Here are the lyrics and the chords....

C                     C7                         F
I can't take it - I'm so lonely gee I need you so
D                                                G7
I can't take it - and I wonder why you had to go
             C E7                   Am…F
But baby, every night I wake up crying
                  C                   G7                C…G7
Tears on my pillow, and pain in my heart, you on my mind
C          C7                        F
I remember all the good times that we had before

D                                        G7
Oh I remember how my heart, my very soul, cries out for more
C         E7                         Am…F
But baby, all your love for me is dying
                C               G7                  C…G7
Tears on my pillow, pain in my heart, you on my mind

(spoken)
I'll always remember that day You promised to love me
You said you'd love me to the very end And I'll never forget
I'll never forget when you walked away from me
You walked out of my life to my very best friend
ooooohhhhhh
       C                            Am…F
Oh baby, every night I wake up crying
                  C                G7                C…F
Tears on my pillow, Pain in my heart, You on my mind

                  C                G7                C…F
Tears on my pillow, Pain in my heart, You on my mind
(to fade)
I don't know but wouldn't imagine this would be Gene Autry's thing....unless he was an early adopter of the reggae style(?!)
If you haven't heard it - there's a couple of original and cover versions on Youtube.
There's another same titled but different song by Little Anthony, and later on, included in 'Grease' the musical. Also good.

this is great! And I don't have a problem with the position of the chords. You are right, if we sing along it is easy to figure out when to change chords. Anyways, I'm playing this on my ukulele and i like it. Your chords are correct.
