Well rest assured that I organise it BUT DO NOT ENTER any of the venues except to set them up & clear them down. I do not see any of the artists perform, so the weekend for me is not about enjoying live folk music, it is about stacking chairs, sweeping floors, unblocking loos etc. so the non smokers can have a good time & I DO REALLY HOPE THEY DO! So please come & swell the small crowd. I promise I will stay in the background & not spoil you weekend with a ciggie. Skipy |

Perhaps if you post a new thread with details of this year's event, making clear it is a folk festival, it will get positive attention? I am absolutely sure that placing of a thread on the Mudcat is totally unrelated to the smoking habits of its poster. (By the way, I have no idea of the smoking habits of the organisers of any of the festivals I go to. If they choose to smoke that is up to them, as long as doesn't disturb anyone else.) |
