Then in my dream I suddenly remembered that I had a car and it was parked somewhere where I rarely went. That explained why I had forgotten that I had it, you see. However, I couldn't remmeber its make. I knew the word started with an M but cudgel my brain as I might I couldn't come up with it. I thought of Mercury and Mazda then ran dry of guesses. Mustang never came up, and yet in real life I had that 64 1/2 Mustang for many years. |

Jeez Ebbie, While wide awake I have had a couple of occaisions in which I did not know what amke model or color car I had parked in the lot. But that was back when I had access to dozens of cars. My remarkable dream is clear in its amazing colors and unusual presentation of 3 different dimensions but the O'Henry like intricacies and plot twists that woke me up to ponder further, are out of my grasp. drat. |

I don't know why, since I'm happily retired and don't miss the job at all. Anyway, last night I was back at work, (State Park Ranger, by the way), but was stationed on Easter Island. I wanted to go and see the famous big head statues, but people kept coming in to the office and handing me paperwork. Then some yuppie kid drove her SUV into the park office and overturned it (the SUV, not the office), so I called the rescue squad, but she refused our help because she was on an important cell phone call and wanted to finish it. I sent the squad home, then I went home, too. That part of the dream was very satisying. |

It had this sudden WHOA! quality of surprise and irony but to describe it, would change it. It was like what Archimedes felt in the tub or what Heisenberg felt when he sat upon the bluffs of an unihabited German Island in the North Sea when he visualized the Uncertainty Principle that eventually ended up proving Albert Einstein wrong about the nature of atoms. so here goes... There were these 3 highly colorful changing patterns distinct from one another but flowing from each other. They were not entities as much as they were curved energy vectors of unimaginable complexity and beauty that conveyed changing information to each other. They did not have names but I shall call them the past, present and future. The WHOA moment came when IT was made clear to me, as if it could speak, that the future defended itself. The Future literally had an insistence of self defense from the undulations of its other two counter parts of the present and past. The future was resisting entropy with the help of its counter parts. The present was using incredible velocity to provide more time to help the future adapt but made new difficulties for the past wtc etc. That the future defended itself was an alien notion to me at the time and caught me off guard but now it feels curiously reassuring. Its OK, I don't it either but the eloquence of the colorful graphics made the entire idea succint and nearly instantaneous. |

Quantum physics therefore claims cosmic authority. As you demonstrate so succinctly, the boundaries of the spirit are far different than the boundaries of the "bios" aspect of awareness, and one of the salient differences is that thought travels freely through time (perhaps more accurately, "without" time) and space. The notion of the future defending itself is most interesting and in several senses I can see the truth of it. If the permeation of the grapevine of all present and past decision points by those engaged inmaking them is actually the manifestation of space-bound and time-bound Life, striving to evolve its own perfect destiny, then the fire of life is dedicated to creating futures and defending them pan-temporally. Some experiments described by DOssey inter alia indicate that humans can actually can generate future scenarios in which they cross-exist, like some kind of shared dreaming that both individuals recall lucidly, with high levels of agreement about events. This is just one small aspect of the wider phenomenon of non-local knowledge (a term Dossey is fond of). The capacity for non-local knowing is a study in itself. From: Donuel Cool! non local knowing is something that Naval Intelligence was up to in the 1970's and asked me if I knew people who could do it. I did but I lied and said no. Some of those who said yes, have suffered for it (as a Washington Post article revealed 3 years ago). Old Al Eisnstein once said that "life goes against the grain of spacetime". Life does depend upon its accumalted genetic code over generations to turn on and off genes that cope with various circumstances of enviorment such as the amount of food, air, water, to name a few. We always use our immediate memory to exploit the past for an intended future. We use feedback loops to engage in many activities of survival and thought. Yet the "furure defending itself" is outside of those boxes, at least for current day humans. What scenario could fit such a mold? There are a group of people still alive (I saw them on Larry King) who believe they saw UFOs deactivate nuclear weapons in their silos as well as UFOs that shot beams at launched nukes rendering them decactived or changing their navigation. Since space and time are no longer fixed but rather are relativistic could we allow for a technological feedback loop that changes history? Sci Fi stories such as Mellenium and innumerable Time Machine plots entertain this flexible past and future idea all the time. It may be as subtle as changing our minds or as spectacular as "going" back in time to repair the future. As in the dream, if you could see how the three space times interact and pop new appendages into existence that then flow into one another with a grand AH HAA... it would at least make a good special effect in the next movie that exploits time tommorrow, as we exploit thermodynamics today. |

From: Donuel Maybe this is too obvious to mention but from my colorful perspective, the past the present and the future ARE all coexisteting simultaneously. They were not a time cone or a linear sequence or a spiraling string. As such the future was fighting for survival as well as the other forces seeking equilibrium from the changes the future could make. This is much ado regarding a 6 second dream. Since then I have even thought that virtual particles might be a way for the present to help reconcile and equalize the changes the future and past are making .... too wierd.... |
