I also loved Martha Wainwright, but her latest album 'just because you're married' left me cold. Watching Gillian Welch and her brother play live is an amazing thing to see. |

Gillian and David led Worried Man Blues on one of Pete Seeger's Newport sessions too (findable via the playlists). A newspaper article about the recent 'Big Surprise Tour' (Welch & Rawlings, OCMS, Justin Townes Earle and others) said they were working on a David Rawlings Machine CD which 'might never be released'. (I can't find the link now, but there's a post about it on the radio 2 f/a board a while back) |
