I have decided to cut out cheese, and am treating my problem with elderfower tea, just wondered if any other singers had had a problem with catarrh, and whether they had looked carefully at their diet.I thought I read somewhere that Martin Carthy had said that cheese had created problems for his voice.DickMiles |

I know several singers who've cut out milk & milk products from their diet for this reason. Elderflower tea wasn't on their regimen, but daily use of a neti pot was. Joanne in Cleveland |

Do you find the elderflower tea works for you ? Not one I've heard suggested before, but I might well give it a go if it's worth it. |

Coats the old vocal cords, so the first few songs is an exercise in throat-clearing and loogie-hawking. Embarassing when you're busking... To help clear phlegm, etc off the vocal cords I use candied ginger. Seamus |
