I'm going to vote enthusiasticaly for Obama, but I think both candidates are good, honest people who want what they think is best for the country. Now, if you want a liar, take a look at the current occupant of the White House. -Joe- |

28 Jul 08 - 04:48 PM (#2399768) Subject: RE: BS: McCain has a spot removed from his face From: PoppaGator I've had numerous minor skin cancers removed (basel-cell carcinomas as opposed to the more serious melanomas); it's become very much not-a-big-deal to me and mine. The good thing about skin cancer is that it is immediately detectable, and so usually can be treated (removed) before any serious harm is done. McCain's melanomas have been public knowledge for some time; it's not the kind of thing anyone, even a politician, would "need" to keep secret. Rig, could you tell us more about Bill Bradley's similar problem? I'm a great admirer of his, and still have a stack of Bradley-for-President bumberstickers from the primary season eight-plus years ago. I thought that the main/only reason for his failure to get nominated was a perceived lack of charisma; Dollar Bill was no flashier as an orator than he was as a ballplayer. I don't remember any kind of health scare. Could you please enlighten us? |

I don't remember any kind of health scare. Could you please enlighten us?" The way I remember it, it was during the primary in 2000. He was detected to have an abnormal heart beat, or something to that affect, and was hospitalized, and his poll numbers fell through the floor. His campaign never recovered. But I'm operating strictly from memory, so the details have become a little fuzzy. |

28 Jul 08 - 11:52 PM (#2400053) Subject: RE: BS: McCain has a spot removed from his face From: Little Hawk I suggest Condoleeza Rice. Give all of America TWO (count 'em) TWO "Black" candidates to choose between for president! And a female candidate too. Devastating. ;-) But the ultimate possible mind-f*ck in that sense would be this: Hillary Clinton vs Condoleeza Rice. Think of the dramatic possibilities... |

30 Jul 08 - 07:00 AM (#2401089) Subject: RE: BS: McCain has a spot removed from his face From: kendall I am very disappointed in McCain. For years I thought he was a decent man of some integrity, and now he turns out to be just another politician no different from all the rest. They will say and do anything to get elected. Does anyone know how many people made up that "Surge"? Does he know that the main thing that quelled the violence is the change in targets for the Shiites and the Sunnis, plus the standing down of the militia? If he does then he is just plain dishonest. |
