06 Aug 08 - 05:28 PM (#2407002) Subject: We are together - amazing film From: McGrath of Harlow I've just been watching an amazing film on Channel Four (in the UK) Here is a website about it - We Are Together Quite extraordinary singing from a bunch of South African children, and a really powerful and moving film. Don't take my word for it - click on the link there and listen to it. And get to see the film if you can. It's still on Channel Four on Demand, if you can get that. And there's a DVD. It's early to be thinking of Christmas Presents, but I think I'll be sending the DVD or CD to one or two people I know. |

I have been reading No. 1 Ladies Detective series by Alexander McCall Smith which takes place in Botswana. He tells so much about the country and its culture, through his very endearing characters; one particular orphanage figures as a mainstay in them. They are really GOOD books I would highly recommend. kat |

Mind, that film is really enjoyable - but the one of the Children of Agape is something else again. (And one of the children is called Precious, I just noticed from the video I copied. from the broadcast.) |
