thanks Katlaughing, but I can't grasp his email address to save my ass! all the clues and ambiguity and intrigue make me wonder if he is not in Georgia right now stirring up trouble and leading a revolt! Allan, whether you know it or not, is a minor superhero.

James! My man! Could it be that you are actually "back"? I heard a rumour that you wouldn't... is this an abberation? An abcess-cesstion? >;-)

Sorcha and Wildebeeste, I am more than flattered that you even knew of my abscence but I have been in the great Ice cave pondering on world events, and how I can best help with my superhero powers. You laugh, but it ain't easy trying to keep everything fixed and everyone playing nice...gotta run, another incident at the olympics requires my immediate attention, then off to that f#$(*!@#&$ing mess in Georgia, grumble groan harrump...

I am pleased to be able to say that I am still alive and well. Thanks for asking. I'm still dropping in here at the Mudcat fairly often but rarely feel a need to add to what has already been said or what will undoubtedly be said by someone else. Call me lazy.

Funny, Carmen and I were talking just a few days ago about how it once was that when we phoned our respective parents to check in on them, we always had a laundry list of big happenings in our lives. By contrast, our parents, who by then were about as old as we are now, had little to report. "Nothing new here. Same old stuff." They would say. Well, now it seems that we have arrived at a similar place in our lives.

Doctor Carmen Clark has at last finished her thesis and is now trying to do some of the thousands of little things that have gone by the wayside for the past four years while she also teaches an online class as well as works her usual job.

I'm in the throes of intensive study in order to complete my apprenticeship in water and wastewater treatment. Anyone who has ever gotten past the idea that these are simple and straightforward processes, may have some idea as to the difficulty and complexity of either. I'm currently studying my seventh three-inch-thick book on these processes and am happy to report that I have passed two major exams that will ultimately result in my getting full licenses to operate certain types of water and wastewater plants.

Carmen and I still play music together albeit not as often as we would like. But we both agree that there is little that excites us more than those moments when we feel we have nailed a song.

We haven't made it to a single folk festival this year; but we do plan to be at the Getaway. We can hardly wait to see you folks again.

water and wastewater treatment.. Wow, years ago when the world was young I worked for Dorr-Oliver designing settling tanks and flocculators and other such wonderful things.

We are all counting down to the Getaway, Allan. Remember the cowboy you and Carmen gave me two years ago? It went missing along with a new camera and a whole bunch of stuff.

While rummaging in my basement, I found it and the camera. He has a place of honor in my sunroom and keeps you two in my thoughts and prayers every day.
Love you,
SINS
