Could be similar to a programme 20+ years ago with Fred Trueman Indoor league

I watched it, it is fantastic. I haven't laughed so much for ages! The digibox is on series record for that one!

The games covered this week were the traditional 'sports' of Cheese Rolling, River Football, Woolsack Relay, Snail Racing, Shin Kicking and Tiddleywinks. Rory McGrath and Paddy McGuinness are great - they entered everything despite the weather, the risks, the lack of training or basic fitness... it made for a fabulous programme that was quirky, informative and funny. It was amusing without taking the piss, there were no comments about local yokels, not even when they were in Norfolk!

Just such a shame there was so much swearing in the first 10 minutes...

The programme also covered dwyle flunking; here is a http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=J0kxQ-osmKQ

Many thanks to Michael and Trevor Curry for making this possible.

The Suffolk rules differ strikingly from the Sussex ones and I venture to suggest that the music isn't as good. For further and worse particulars, see the separate thread headed 'Dwyle flunking, Lewes - musicians invited'.

When I 'played' it in Dorset about 25 years ago, the flonker was blindfolded which added much to the fun.
