Up a sycamore down a pine

My grandfateh was a master of doggerel verse and song. I cannot remember all of them and he has been dead thirty years. He died at the age of 99.

I want help in finishing this poem/song

Up a scyamore, down a pine,
I Split my bretches right a hind.
I Asked my sister, good and kind,
To patch my bretches right a hind.

Does anyone know more?

My dad always asked his girlfriend if she would sew them up behind

Did a quick google search and found Our Singing Country which has a verse of Lynchburg Town that seem to be a close match. Lynchburg Town appears to have about as many versions as there are people who sing it.
