Jim, if you have never heard of Iris before you should have a look and listen to some of her numbers. Although her voice can be a bit annoying to some I find it to be very haunting. She is a very worthy writer and controversial one as well. I am told that in some areas of the States her music is not played due to some of her statements she make about the church and religions. Maybe some one could confirm this as being true or not. |

Went back to You Tube to hear some more and I've sat here for 20 minutes, listening. No mistaking who her influences are and that's fine. Same attitude as Alison Krause. i.e. More into performing than dressing up. Breathing was out a bit in one of the live shows but that can happen. She's a keeper. Real talent. Iris Dement eh? Must be French. |
