08 Sep 08 - 12:47 AM (#2433807) Subject: BS: An arzay:entered my mind. From: Peace It happened like this. I was looking for a more polite way to say, "I don't give a rat's ass . . . ". Then I figured that saying 'I don't give an R's A' would work as well but it was difficult to type. So, in short, I have arriced at "I don't give an arzay that . . .". Cool, huh? If there's any predictive power to history, then I can guess the next post. |

From: GUEST,LTS pretending to work In our house it's 'LFRA'.. short for 'little furry rat's arse' as in "I don't give a little furry rats' arse". All you have to say to Limpit is those four letters and she knows it's a lost cause trying to engage my attention/enthusiasm. But I suspect Arzay is going to enter into the lingo sooner or later. 08 Sep 08 - 09:48 AM (#2434039) Subject: RE: BS: An arzay:entered my mind. From: maeve Too funny, rum. This has cross-cultural implications! To take the rat by the tail, one could also purchase a supply of La Ratte potatoes and simply hand them out when one wishes to express the delicately described sentiment with which Peace has been struggling. Yes, we have them here at the farm. La Ratte pomme de terre that is, not the arzay. |

09 Sep 08 - 08:33 AM (#2435088) Subject: RE: BS: An arzay:entered my mind. From: Georgiansilver Some folk around here already use "I don't give an R.A" which in actual fact doesn't make grammatical sense... and neither does .. 'AN' Arzay unfortunately. It is of course 'A' rat's hindparts not 'AN'... so perhaps we better think again..... Also .... it is probably just as quick to say " I don't give a rats arse" as it is to say "I don't give an Arzay"... sorry Bruce but a rats arse is a rats arse!!!!! however you look at it.... that's of course assuming you want to look at it!!! LOL Best wishes, Mike. |
