Does anyone know if Rob Armstrong ( Coventry UK) has a website?

Hi; Rob doesn't have a website, but he does have a catalogue. It's not much use for choosing, as every guitar he makes is different, and built specifically for the customer. I'd describe the catalogue as 'stringed pornography', as the instruments in there are just sensational. I take it Peace has put you in touch; if not, pm me and I'll give you an address and phone number. I have two of Rob's instruments, and they are wonderful. His prices are very low for what you get. If you are looking for an Armstrong made for you, you need to move swiftly; I heard a rumour that Rob's hands are bad with arthritis, and he may have to give up soon.

Howdo yourself Silas; 'Bit on the Side' is no more, but my current venture can be found here . Much more fun, and makes more money too! Have a listen, let me know what you think!

Lovely guitars. He made one for Andy Caven a design of which only 3 exist to my knowledge. The others having been made for Joe Brown and George Harrison. Andy's is unique as it's the only one with fret markings.

Andy Caven's is a corker, and the slightly receding body line at the neck almost makes it a 15-fret body join, and you'd be surprised just how often that extra fret makes a difference.

Just saw him at a gig with Isambarde in Coventry at the weekend. Haven't seen him for a while. He's very well and very busy. Got his catalogue in front of me. Its wonderful. He's making a guitar for Chris Green.
