Keep a rabbit refrigerated? Wouldn't that cause hare frost?

White Rabbit candy pulled from sale

September 24, 2008 - 6:07PM

A popular candy imported from China will be removed from Australian stores over fears it is linked with China's milk contamination crisis.

The White Rabbit candy, often sold at Asian grocers, was tested in New Zealand, where it was found to contain traces of the toxic chemical melamine, which has been linked with several deaths in China.

Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) this afternoon asked the candy be withdrawn from sale pending the outcome of further testing.

"Testing in New Zealand released late today has confirmed that this product contains sufficiently high levels of melamine which may, in some individuals, cause health problems such as kidney stones if consumed in high quantities over a long period," FSANZ said in a statement.

What a Hare Raising series of events.

Still there is an upside. MFI have made an offer for the victims bodies, presumably for their melamine kitchen cabinet factory.
