A very good song on a great album - one of my favorite albums ever. Unfortunately, "Moondance" has been played to wits end, but there are several cuts on the disc that stand alone. I have always liked the three images of water in the song; as rain, from which one must take shelter, as swimming hole, which offers relief from the heat, as cold drink, which quenches the thirst. And all three forms "stone me to my soul". Really Morrison at his most lyrical. |

Two very different moods. I have often used "Moondance" as a pick-me-up when I was feeling down. If I really wanted to wallow in my depression I put on "Astral Weeks". Certainly these were highlight albums for Morrison. He has been so productive and has varied his interests so much that I would hesitate to call them the pinnacle of his success, but they are both wonderful in their own way. Roger in Baltimore |

They really would get stoned on that, particularly if it was poteen... |
