At the end of each musical line, there was the sound of a carriage return, and the little tinkle of the bell that told you - what was it that the little bell told you about the typewriter back then? Might be hard to explain that tune to a generation brought up on computer keyboards. |

I don't have time to post the lyrics now, but the singer compares the computer he designed to a dozen other models which were available at the time the song was written - and all the companies mentioned except IBM have since gone out of business. |
