The Rounder Records podcast for September.

It concentrates on Rounder artists nominated for the International Bluegrass Music Association awards, and there's some really good stuff on there.

(I know the awards gave come, gone and been by now. I don't know who won what.)

Charlie Hayden - Family and Friends - Ramblin Boy. Charlie Hayden is one of the foremost jazz bass players. But this recording takes him back to his folk and bluegrass roots. It seems his parents had a radio show as he was growing up. This CD features his daughters, Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Elvis Costello, Rosanne Cash, ect

Les, You are quite right, I love that!

I'm also listening to Rebekah Findlay, she is the fiddle/ guitar player and one of the singers in Blind Summat! .

This is her solo (nearly), self penned stuff....I really think you might like it.

Have a listen

Forget the plug....what do you think of Beck's songs?

I think she really has something quite special....and no, I'm not her agent or anything (just happen to play in the same band, but I have nothing to do with her solo stuff)!!!
