15 Oct 08 - 07:05 AM (#2466126) Subject: Mellstock Band - Guildford tonite (15/10 From: GUEST As part of the Guildford Book Festival, Electric Voices will be presenting The Mellstock Band at the Electric Theatre in Guildford, Surrey tonight (Weds, 15/10) at 8 pm. To quote the theatre's brochure blurb "A tour of Thomas Hardy's musical works from Casterbridge Barracks to Vauxhall Gardens. The mellstock Band combines songs and tunes from teh traditiona with an array of ancient instruments including the snake-like serpent, to create afresh the vigour, actress and excitement of a 19th century village band." On the night tickets are priced at £15, and there are still some available. If you'd like to come along and join the crowd, please ring box office for the Electric Theatre on 014783 444789.
