Two of the events we've seen him at in the last few years were festivals of no great size at all. I would drive a couple of hours to see him anytime at the drop of a hat. |

John McCutcheon credits him with naming that category of songs dealing with current events and politics. He is such a special song writer and singer....always a joy and many of his songs are in my repertoire especially Ramblin' Boy and Can't Help But Wonder Where I'm Bound. |

When we asked him to take part, we received, within three weeks, the recording of Les Barker's parody "Will the Turtle Be Unbroken" by Tom Paxton and the Smokey Mountain Girls.
