If you want to hook into the whole cult, take a look at 'Handsome Harry' - a book about Harry Pierpont - the only member of the Dillinger gang to be executed. You can get a copy from Amazon for a really good price from Amazon, and it will introduce you to the main players. http://www.amazon.com/Handsome-Harry-James-Carlos-Blake/dp/0060554789 when you've done that - Lori Hyde has two terrific sites - one about Dillinger:- http://www.geocities.com/hydey6/dillingerpage.html and the other about Harry Pierpont. http://www.geocities.com/pierpont_2001/pierpontpage.html Blues fans note that Dillinger's favourite car was the terraplane - the one that features in Robert Johnson's one 'hit'. |
