Origins: Two Ladies (from 'Cabaret')

Got a song fragment stuck in my head. It's music hall-ish, and I seem to recall a silly German accent. It goes like this:

Diddley dit dee dee -- two ladies
Diddley dit dee dee -- two ladies
Diddley dit dee dee -- and just one man

Any clues?

Cheers,
Michael

That's one of the emcee's songs in Cabaret, Michael.

Cheers,
Claire

Gran Prix Champion Jackie Stewart wore a small steering wheel with his kilt instead of a Sporan. Asked why, the Wee Scot replied, "Its driving me nuts."

In a similar vein, a rodeo cowboy's belt buckle and a certain military ship have a connection - both can be nave(a)l destroyers.
The late Casey Tibbs said something like that, and I can't recall the exact quote.

There's a great production of "Cabaret" touring the UK just now with Wayne Sleep as Emcee - finishes in Glasgow next April.
