BS: SINSULL is ?? today

Subject: BS: SINSULL is ?? today
From: jacqui.c

Should I tell her exact age? Should I let you all work it out for yourselves?

Suffice to say, both Mary and I are now in the Red Hat zone. She's doing pretty well for an oldie though.

Many happy returns to one of my best mates.

Live long, die happy, skidding in with chocolate in one hand, champagne in the other, yelling "Whoo hoo! What a ride!"

See ya tonight dear!

Gnu -- that's "Hail, Mary, full of GRAPES" -- fermented, that is.

Happy B.D., Mary! Your card is still on the table cuz I've been too tired to address it since I made the decision not to come to the house concert tomorrow night (to recover from the damned cold). I'll prolly just give it to you along with the gift that's been screaming your name since sometime last year (and I DIDN'T even get it at the Christmas Tree Shop!!!). I'm sure, too, that sometime between now and then the gift will get gaudily wrapped, too.

Today is my mother's 80th birthday -- and you're far younger than she is.

Hope your day was grand, you keep celebrating for at least a month, and that we'll see you soon -- after we've ALL gotten rid of The Cold!

Haven't had a chance to get on today before now and I discover its your birthday.   Then I had a giant gas attack and went to the john before I sat back down here.......So I have basically taken a crap in your honor! Happy Birthday!!! And the best part is you don't need to say thanks or even be in the same room!!!

On an unusual serious side.............My Mom died at 43 and my Dad at 53 so I have out lived them both by quite a bit. On both occasions when I passed them, it was a very strange feeling.......and it remains so. I think part of it comes from respecting your parents and their "wisdom and experience."    I know I'm older and have more experience but I'm not sure I will have have their wisdom..............

Hope you've had a great day Kiddo!

The last person who called her the Yum Yum girl was a cunning linguist from Augusta, who disappeared on the Maine Pike shortly thereafter. No-one knows what became of him, but his declension is suspect, and some fear he may have been parsed to a derivative end.

Happy B.D.! You know I didn't forget but in the rush to Boston, only my mother's card got mailed. (Her birthday is today, too -- she's a LOT older than you!)

Alas, the best belated birthday card (and I'm going to make sure it's good and late) is one that's been unavailable for a few years. Rats!

But I DO have a delightful (if you're into that sort of thing) B.D. present for you -- maybe the one I got for free at a yardsale, maybe the other one. You'll get the one that remains (and another perfect gift) for Christmas.

Hope you have a glorious day and celebrate for at least a month (giving me time to mail your card and maybe get together with you to give your gift)!

The thread's initial (pre-recycling) post has you entering "The Red Hat Zone", whatever that is. I'm glad she's ONE of, but hopefully not the LAST of, The Red Hat Mamas! (A future Floozy uniform adornment? Hmmmmmmmmmm.........)

And so I'll make my second attempt at making giving SIN-CERE/SULL yearly greetings on this thread that threatens to eventually be recycled as many times as has many a gift both to and from Mary herself, and in the same legendary good taste.

I guess, since a recycled thread qualifies as one, "Many Happy Returns Of The Day" (as lovingly "rendered" by Alfalfa in an old Our Gang/Little Rascals comedy short, if said version qualifies as "Close Enough For Folk Music". "Rendered" like a hunter would a fresh carcass, if memory serves.....)

Another candle on your cake?
Well, that's no cause to pout
Be glad that you have strength enough
To blow the damn thing out

Mary, I'm sorry I missed congratulating you on your very birthday day. But I congratulate you on the anniversary of your nativity yesterday. I know you weren't born yesterday, and you're nobody's fool. But the anniversary of your nativity was yesterday, I understand, and I hope it was a happy one.

So here's a joke for your birthday. A nephew is staring at his aunt at a birthday dinner his mother is holding for her sister. Finally the aunt says: "Jimmy why are you staring at me".

And Jimmy says: "I want to see you drink like a fish."

The feast continues. I came todat to find a box of gifties on my front porch - beautifully packaged spices and spice rubs from the local Shaker Village. A gift from my niece. Then I opened the fridge to discover champagne WHOO WHOO! and a card from the Captain and Mrs Morse.
Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.
Thank you all!

Thank you all. I am 63. But no matter how old I get I will always be younger than that old bat Jacqui.
Twice this weekend I swore off alcohol. Then Micca appears with something more magical than the last bottle. My poor liver.
The Nun Cake was a surprise. More surprising was the way one and all went after the poor old girl with knife, fork and finger. Fred outdid them all when he backed into her and deflowered the poor thing.
A wonderful concert; a lovely birthday meal; incredibly good wine.
Now I am back at work once again sworn off alcohol.

Subject: RE: BS: SINSULL is Questionable today

Though it was a beautiful day, for some reason I left all the windows and doors closed, and a good thing, too! A certain Pea-foul was lonesome (the same Tiara Del Fuego that hung on Big Mick at Getaway, a Pee-Hen where a cock should've been) and was lookin' for a way to fly up to Maine and celebrate this momentous occaision with you. But I knew I didn't want you to have your birthday refouled, befouled or Pea-fowled, so the bird in question still sits atop a bookcace in the dining room, squawking an imitation of the NBC chimes on the hour, a minute and a half off, so that she wooden interfere by trying to harmonize with the kitschin' clock.

I see that no matter how hard I try to ketchup with you, you still stay 2 years ahead of me. I'll try to make it up to one of the Maine Events some time, but until then, I'll have to settle for being part of some of the numerous sideshows we have down here.

I hope you had a good time. May nuns in their nativity suits and lobster bibs atop flocks of flamingos dance flemencos, sing your praises and praise your sings all year, each and every night, until it's time to think of stuff for next year's celebration (or a SINSULL TINSULL Xmas, whichever comes first). May you be reborne on the pinions of these birds to worlds, or at least states, of eternal bliss.

More I could not wish you!.....
