At last......a decent programme. No Kate R, No Eliza C.

Just one of the finest voices. Unbeatable.

It's not called Folk on 2 anymore :-) The Mike Harding programme this evening had Maddy and June and even Tim Hart, specially flown in from the Canary Islands for this Electric Proms concert, recorded last Thursday in Cecil Sharp House, broadcast on BBC4 TV on Friday and Monday, and with a longer version on Mike's programme. Tim - sounded no different to 40 years ago on those 2 LPs they made, although judging by the TV programme, he's been getting too much sun out there. Accomapniment by John Kirkpatrick and others. Very good!

For information, Barney Morse-Brown on cello and Kit Haigh on guitar.

To be precise - Tim lives on La Gomera where I seem to remember he works as a children's illustrator. And Derek was correct he looked as if he had been in the sun too long.

Maddy and June were and remain priceless, Silly Sisters is excellent. I thought that version of Martin said to his man by Tim Hart was a bit lame but that's just personal.

We have no reason to claim anyone better than anyone else but the current collection of young(ish) musicians certainly make more interesting and vibrant music than later Steeleye inspite of Maddy's voice.
