08 Nov 08 - 02:20 PM (#2488553) Subject: RE: Jez Lowe From: Les from Hull Perhaps when the folk club have posted here a few times they'll learn to put the venue in the thread title and how to do blue clicky things. |
08 Nov 08 - 03:55 PM (#2488610) Subject: RE: Jez Lowe From: McGrath of Harlow And please don't just put the name. Otherwise it reads like it may be bringing us bad news about the person. |
09 Nov 08 - 06:53 AM (#2488916) Subject: RE: Jez Lowe From: Folkiedave Either way - I interviewed Jez at the Sheffield Folk Festival last week for my radio show. What a talent and what a thoroughly decent boke!! |

09 Nov 08 - 10:26 AM (#2489031) Subject: RE: Jez Lowe From: peregrina Does anyone have the list of songs that's on the 'Song for Geordie' CD that accompanies Jez Lowe's new CD 'Northern Echoes: Live on the Tyne'? So far, no reviews or sales sites I've seen specify the actual songs on the DVD (as opposed to just the songwriters represented). |
09 Nov 08 - 12:03 PM (#2489075) Subject: RE: Jez Lowe From: Vic Smith Jez performed last Thursday (6th Nov) at the Royal Oak in Lewes and was truly outstanding and was given a huge reception by a very attentive audience. This Thurs (13th Nov) we have Rory McLeod at the Royal Oak and the week after it is Martin Carthy Yopu are all welcome. No advance tickets - just pay on the door. |
10 Nov 08 - 12:48 PM (#2489975) Subject: RE: Jez Lowe From: Bainbo He's on home turf this Friday, November 14, at the Glebe Centre, Murton, County Durham, along with the Bad Pennies and Benny Graham (£5, doors 7.30pm, show starts 8pm). Tickets don't appear to be going like the proverbial hot cakes. I've just been along and bought numbers 13, 14 and 15. (It's part of a council-run "festival". I'm grateful to them for doing it, and everything, but promotion has been almost non-existent.) Looks ike you should be able to get in on the door no bother. |
