I've heard the langspil before, and I must admit that I feared it would sound very harsh, but no. The videos you suggest are enjoyable. Another good thing is that clicking on your link brings up a number of other interesting instruments such as the epinette and the dulcimer and others whose names I don't even know. As you say, listen and look. I play fretted dulcimer. My newest piece is "He is an Englishman" from HMS Pinafore. I'm so sorry to hear about the crisis in your beautiful country. I hope everything works out. |

(Not really, but I would love to have a langspil!) Thanks, Skarpi. Isn't Vetrarnótt on your CD? I know I have it on a CD, but mine are all in my player and I cannot get to them to look at them, right now. I love that song! Great links and so interesting as well as beautiful. kat |
