I have been much entertained and seriously impressed by John "Harmonium Hero" Kelly and his epic journey around Folk Clubs.

Anybody up for writing a song to record and celebrate John's Journey?

I'd hang fire - I get the impression, he's hardly started.

Look on it more as an ongoing adventure until he's playing the mainstage at Cambridge with representation from one of the top folk agencies.

And who in truth deserves it more? You don't get to be a guy like John Kelly through being in the right place at the right time, a moments happy inspiration producing a pop/crossover song, or being born into the folkistocracy.

What he does is amazing.

Les, a song about JK and his musical exploits would just take toooo many verses :)

Come all you wild young men
And a warning take from me:
You can practice three hours every day,
But you'll never be as good as John Kell-y...

(Last line needs a bit of work still.)

Come all you wild young men
And a warning take by me:
You can stretch you chords three hours every day,
But you'll never match that John Kell-y...

I think John has a tune near this "Wild Young" and he is but a youth himself
