Hi Mick.

Here you go, and welcome to the 'Cat.

CLIFFS OF DOONEEN       CHRISTY MOORE

G       C    (F   C)             F         G
You may travel far far from your own native home
      C                            G             Am
Far away o'er the mountains, far away o'er the foam
       C       ( F   C)         G         Am
But of all the fine places that I've ever seen
         C                        F         G
There's none to compare with the cliffs of Dooneen

Take a view o'er the mountains, fine sights you'll see there
You'll see the high rocky mountains on the west coast of Clare
The towns of Kilkee and Kilrush can be seen
From the high Rocky slopes of the Cliffs of Dooneen

Fare thee well to Dooneen, Fare thee well for a while
And to all the fine people I'm leaving behind
To the streams and the meadows where late I have been
And the high rocky slopes of the Cliffs of Dooneen

You may travel for far from your own native home
Far away o'er the mountains, far away o'er the foam
But of all the fine places that l've ever seen
There's none to compare with the Cliffs of Dooneen

Enjoy

Cattail !

Hi Greg

You're right! Now why didn't I see that? I just copy/pasted it off a
text file, thats why.

Anyway it only needs a google to find a version you like, or work it
out of the one here, I also think that its at Betty Lou's site if I
remember correctly.

http://bettylou.zzruss.com/

it ain't tooooo difficult to find or work out.

Incidentally, I've often thought that its a pity that the songs in the
D.T. don't have the chords with them for us people who can't work them
out from scratch.

Anyway, thanks for pulling me up on this one, I'll check a bit more
carefully if I ever put another one on.

Have a good Christmas and best wishes to you and yours.

Cattail !
