Fancy a swop Baritone EC for a Jeffries?

Just before I trundle off down to uncle eBay with my Jeffries 26b, I thought I'd try one last option here.

Does anyone here have a really nice Wheatstone Baritone EC, that quite frankly does not get the attention it deserves, which they might be willing to consider swopping for my Jeffries 26b {c1890s}?

I can understand Concertina enthusiasts being reluctant to part with good Concertinas for cash, but sometimes the thought of a new horse in the stable can sometimes tip the balance between keeping & regularly dusting the old girl, or parting with her, for something else they will play. ;)

My Jeffries

To see & hear it, just visit MySpace where all the tracks there were actually played on this Jeffries.
Also, here's a short YouTube of me playing this Concertina.

I have also set up a slideshow on MySpace {the first one} with some excellent photos of this Jeffries, which were taken by Dave Prebble after he gave it his excellent once over, tuning, pads, valves etc etc, just a few weeks ago.

At that time I had no intention of selling it, but since then I have acquired a love of the English system & as well as buying a beautiful Wheatstone #22 from Dave, I now also have an Aeola TT & would dearly love a good quality Wheatstone Baritone, to complete the collection.

Incidentally, I bought this Concertina from Chris Algar, back in '92, but I'm not sure he'd remember much about this particular instrument! ;) I also won a 2nd place medal at the All Ireland in Clonmel, in '94 playing this Concertina.

Anyway, that's about it, so please feel free to pm me if you would like any more information on this Concertina &/or to tell me about your Baritone.

Cheers
Dick
