A married man with a family will do anything for money.
I grew up to have my father's looks --my father's speech patterns -- my father's posture -- my father's walk - my father's opinions and my mother's contempt for my father.
My parents, at least my mother, imagined that what I wanted was love while I really wanted abject obedience. Couldn't make up my mind. Happy Father's Day! katlaughing |

He also said "Don't keep up with the Jones', drag them down to your level". Something I practice every time a student wants to learn Jerry Garcia, and I subtly shift them to Bill Monroe. |

I only knew him as a Dad til I was 22, then I began to know him as a man and a human being. Sadly, I only had a year, then he was gone. I don't remember the exact quote, but Mark Twain once said that at 17 he thought there was no one more stupid than his father; at 21 he was amazed at how much the old man had learned in 4 years. I really epitomized that one! But looking back, every minute of those last months were truly golden. catspaw |

I have a dad that will not know enything about me or my family, he is my real dad but my stepfather is realy a good father to me, it is sad that the real fathers don´t want to know or talk to their children. My stepfather has been a great dad and I learned alot from him, he is now 68 years old and I hope that I can learn more from this great man . In Iceland we say, always respect and listen to your older folks, you will learn from them . have to go . skarpi Iceland. |
