I can't seem to find any clips or 'official' pages about it though. If it comes to Sidmouth, we'll be down there like a shot. I used to love the Muppet Shows they had, with their special guests. Every Friday evening that would be on, and it made us all feel happy, well, in my family it did. I miss shows like that very much, life's got all way too serious these days, and that was a real family show that everyone loved, of all ages. The Muppet Show And you can't beat their version of A Christmas Carol |

Kermie tried very hard but he's lost his spark somehow. If they use the original Muppets, will their voices stay the same? It'll be quite hard for some of them. Robyn |
18 Dec 08 - 02:33 PM (#2519110) Subject: RE: BS: new immaculately concieved Muppet film From: Art Thieme I was told this is a Christmas film---and an infant Muppet is born without a father, and this is how it is explained. He/she IS an immaculately conceived Muppet puppet! That is the film I'm asking about. |

According to tvguide.com, this one was premièred last night! |

18 Dec 08 - 10:31 PM (#2519473) Subject: RE: BS: new immaculately concieved Muppet film From: Donuel plot: Sam the eagle and Sarah Failin lead a mob in chanting: drill baby drill. The muppets chant back: no not in our theatre. Bunson invents a super solar cell for the roof but Beaker has an unfortunate accident which vaporizes Failin. |
19 Dec 08 - 12:11 AM (#2519506) Subject: RE: BS: new immaculately concieved Muppet film From: Seamus Kennedy There was a made-for-TV Muppet Christmas show on NBC last night, with guest appearances by Jesse L. Martin (Detective Ed Green from Law & Order - great singer!), Uma Thurman, Nathan Lane Pretty weak plot about delivering a kid's letter to Santa at the North Pole, and some so-so songs. Nowhere near as good as the Muppet Christmas Carol. BTW, if any of you are watching the MCC this year, keep an eye out for the scene where Beaker and Bunsen come in to persuade Scrooge (Michael Caine) to make a charitable donation. When he humbugs them out the door, Beaker turns round and flips him the bird! Check it out. Seamus |
19 Dec 08 - 07:23 AM (#2519684) Subject: RE: BS: new immaculately concieved Muppet film From: Jack Blandiver As a point of pedantry perhaps, though a common misunderstanding among non-Catholics, the Immaculate Conception has nothing to do with the conception & birth of Jesus, but rather the conception and personage of the BVM herself. See Here for more. |
19 Dec 08 - 08:45 AM (#2519736) Subject: RE: BS: new immaculately concieved Muppet film From: Michael Well, Mr Beard, Thanks for that, as a non-Catholic I had always assumed it refered to the birth of Jesus. A day without learning is a day wasted. Cheers Mike |

Original Sin is a concept I despise. Years ago an unbaptised child went to Limbo - unfit to see the lord but not guilty and so not punished. The pope said Limbo didn't exist so all those babies went to heaven (I guess). Look at a newborn baby and tell me that he is not pure and perfect, a clean slate. |

19 Dec 08 - 10:49 PM (#2520338) Subject: RE: BS: new immaculately concieved Muppet film From: Art Thieme My original sign was Cancer because I was born on July 9th. I didn't like the idea of cancer=====so I had a sign change operation. Now I've been told I can't marry someone with the same sign. If I did do that it'd be a sin! Go figure! Art |
