On the news last night over a million people in KY cannot drink the water, many homes washed out by the coal plant runoff after the holding dam broke, now the drinking water is full of toxic waste.

John Prine said it all years ago

Great song. Not exactly parallel with Coal Ash Disaster but a tangent result of the problem described in song.

Also there is a another thread on this here.

That is truly a wonderful song with some terrific imagery. It kind of reminds us that environmental problems have a deep personal impact on all types of people, not just high minded academic types.
That's a great link to Youtube. How did that person find so many pictures that connect so well with that song!

Great song selection.

Some say our need for energy will forever be a like making a deal with the devil. Be it coal or nuclear they turn our neck of the woods into a living hell.

What we are saying to them today is that heaven will provide our energy needs, and its called solar power.

Most towns and cities will have about 2,000 hours of full sun for all their power and by God that turns out to be enough. That is until a volcanic eruption or cosmic cataclyism blocks the sun.
